Roger D. Sherrard is a principal at Sherrard McGonagle Tizzano, P.S., and has 35 years of legal experience ranging from being a prosecutor, to a senior partner of thriving law practice. Roger’s emphasis is on business consulting, estate planning and estate settlement, and real estate matters. He is admitted to practice in Washington and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.

 

Roger also has eighteen years experience in international and constitutional law and judicial training. These efforts began through a group that Roger helped to found – Advocates International – a non-governmental organization that supports rule-of-law projects in post-communist and developing countries. Roger has led projects in Albania that instituted training for judges and linked them to judges in the United States where they gained an understanding of how the rule of law contributed to U.S. economic development, including more than thirty trips to Albania. For his service, Albanian President Moisiu awarded Mr. Sherrard the “Medal for Special Civil Merits” in 2004 for notable and tireless efforts in assisting the Albanian Judiciary and bringing it closer to internationally recognized rule of law standards. Roger is currently the Chair/Balkan Director for Advocates International.

Roger is also an Army Veteran, and a West Point graduate. His military service includes being a graduate Airborne and Ranger School, an Armor Platoon Leader and Company Commander in Germany, and Aide de Camp in Italy, and an Infantry Company Commander in Vietnam. Roger has been awarded the Bronze Star for valor and other decorations for his military service.
